(Note: a pdf from the Media Library cannot be inserted into a post or page. Instead, pdf files are reached by a link.)

Upload the newsletter pdf to the Media Library. Then upload a jpeg image of the newsletter first page.

Option 1 – Use a text link to the newsletter pdf:

Option 2 – Use an image of the first page as a link:

Notes for Option 2:

Insert jpeg image (that you want to be clickable)
Click image and select Edit (pencil icon)
Select “Link to custom URL”
Insert custom URL (the URL for the pdf in Media Library)
Select “Open link in a new tab”
Publish.
