Amazon.com has a new charitable-giving program for which Genesis House has registered. Amazon.com will now donate 0.5% of a customer’s purchase to a charity of the customer’s choice. This is even better than matching donations because it doesn’t require you to make a contribution. There is no cost to you at all! To donate money to Genesis House this way, all you have to do is go to “smile.amazon.com” and select Genesis House Inc (Melbourne, FL) as your charity of choice. (There are several “Genesis House Incs” in the U.S., so make sure you select the correct one.) Then when you shop with Amazon, go to “smile.amazon.com” instead of “amazon.com” and shop as usual.
